Eta Xi Sigma helps raise money and participates in March of Dimes Walk

On Sunday, April 24, Eta Xi Sigma Sorors, Philos, Rhoers and friends walked along Chicago’s Lakefront and raised money for a very good cause,  raising awareness about the effects of premature births of infants.  Today, the MOD foundation focuses on preventing birth defects and infant mortality. The March of Dimes has led the way to discover the genetic causes of birth defects, to promote newborn screening, and to educate medical professionals and the public about best practices for healthy pregnancy.  Eta Xi Sigma alumnae chapter supports this cause annually and partners with our community for this important cause.

2016 Spring Day of Service

On Saturday, April 16, 2016, Eta Xi Sigma Alumnae chapter Sorors, Philos, and Rhoers pitched in to participate in our region’s Spring Day of Service. All hands were on deck as we cleaned, raked, shoveled, dug, weeded and planted around Chicago public school, Drake Elementary, in order to beautify the surroundings. We serve our communities shoulder to shoulder with our sisters because we believe in Service!

Created on November 12, 1922, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is a leading national service organization, and continues to grow through Sisterhood, Scholarship and Service. Because of the vision of its seven young educators 93 years ago, Sigma Gamma Rho has a proud legacy of providing positive and proactive community leadership and support when and wherever needed.
